Thank you for taking time out of your day to read the EAC blog. All of our writers are volunteers, and sometimes other commitments take precendence over being able to write for us.  Recently you have noticed less posts then what we have been doing in the past.   This is just a brief reason why you have seen this happen.

We are working on trying to encourage new writers to participate, so if you or someone you know would like to help out, please step right up.

Writing a blog can be a very simple process, and though its daunting at first, after a while it becomes easier.

Some writers keep their post chatty and informal, imagine sitting at their dinner table with a cup of tea and a chat about your recent stitching adventures.  Others focus on a specific project they are working on, or a new technique that is being tried out.  Guild events, programme ideas, new techniques, experience with a new teacher, testing out a new stitch related product, book review are all great places to look for ideas.

Blog submissions are forwarded to the Communications Director, and she puts it together and posts it online.  You won't need to learn anything about a new program, or how to load it on the internet.  We want to make it as simple as possible.

In the future you will begin to see some blog posts provided in French.  EAC is endeavouring to start offering some things in French.  Volunteers are working diligently on translating our many documents, instructions, and web pages into French.  This all takes time, and may appear to be a slow process.  If you are able to assist with translation, please contact peoplepool@eac.ca.

If you have something you think would work for a blog posting, please email it to communications@eac.ca

Thanks for taking your time out today to read a little of where we are going....

yours in stitches,
Nicole McReavy
Communications Director
